The 2011 Tiptree Heath Fair

cow The 2011 Fair was on Sunday 19th June, 12 - 4pm and was a fair with a difference - the Animal Fair!

Apart from a couple of brief showers, we had fun in the sun!

There were groups who deal with rescued animals or local places who work with animals.

Our arena had displays of dog performances and a trek demonstration. We also had a owl wandering around (with his handler!) the fair.

The Wittle College also had some stick insects that could be held. One girl, when asked what they felt like, said like a stick!

Groups will include Rabbit Rescue, Hedgehog Haven, Clarks Farm and many more.

We had fun activities as well, including a Puppet Show, Face Painting, Splat-the-Rat and the always popular Coconut Shy!

Experts shared their knowledge of the animal delights of the heath. Trevor the grazier showed his cows to you and there were two Exmoor ponies to give an idea of next winter’s grazing.

We would like to thank the volunteers, the stall holders and demonstrators and not least everyone who came along.
